Freeze frame : c'est l'expression anglaise traduisant le terme technique français "arrêt sur image".

Déjà remixeur de singles pour Placebo, le DJ allemand Timo Maas a fait appel à Brian Molko pour son album paru au début de l’été 2005 et intitulé Pictures.
Le résultat de cette riche collaboration : 3 titres.
- First Day, le 1er single,
- Pictures, chanson titre de l’album
- et Like Siamese.

Ce qu'en dit Timo Maas :

The new record being a collaboration with Placebo's Brian Molko, one of three on the album. He takes up the story: "We were coming to the end of the summer and Michael and me were kind of stuck. We'd finished the instrumentals and were looking for our dream collaborators but they weren't easy to get. Then we sent something to Brian and he was totally up for it, came over to Hannover and recorded two of the three tracks in a day, then we met up in London to do the third. It was great to work with him, to get into his world - we had a fantastic time."

Le nouveau disque étant une collaboration avec Brian Molko de Placebo, l'une des trois sur l'album. Il raconte l'histoire : "On arrivait à la fin de l'été et Michael et moi étions en quelque sorte coincés. On avait fini les instrumentaus et on était à la recherche de la collaboration de nos rêves, mais c'était pas évident à trouver. Alors on a envoyé quelque chose à Brian et il était tout à fait d'accord pour le faire, il est venu à Hannovre et a enregistré deux des trois morceaux en une journée, puis on s'est donné rendez-vous à Londres pour le troisième. C'était génial de bosser avec lui, d'entrer dans son monde - on a passé un super moment."
