Lyrics and explanation

Black Market Music - Placebo

Lyrics : Placebo

Black Market Blood

Wasted face that swallowed time
With Armageddon crawling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling

Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you

There's a place within her mind
With rains already falling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling

Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you

She's preparing for the flood
The deluge and the sliding mud
She's preparing for the flood
Running on black market blood
Black market blood

Wasted face that swallowed time
With Armageddon crawling
She's insane, this friend of mine
And she's always bawling

Hear her calling
Hear her calling you
Hear her calling
Hear her calling you

She's preparing for the flood
The deluge and the sliding mud
She's preparing for the flood
Running on black market blood
Black market blood
Black market blood
Black market blood
Black market...
Press Quotes

(Translation, quote in French here)

"Bernard Lenoir : [...]
Uh, is there a little text, a little hidden song on the album or not?

Brian : Yeah. That's the tradition, isn't it?
It's named
Black Market Blood and we have worked with Rob Ellis who is PJ Harvey's drummer. And he made arrangements for strings, cellos and vibraphones and everything. And it's a beautiful song, that reminds a bit Kurt Wilde. It feels a bit like cabaret.

Bernard Lenoir : Mm mm. So the album doesn't end with this terrible phrase "I'm scared" because for me the last track is
Peeping Tom and you end up saying this.

Brian : "I'm scared ". But I'm often "scared".

Bernard Lenoir : Yes, yes but we suspect that. But really, it gained in a terrible importance to finish the album by this sentence. Anyway, if there are others further, it put us at rest.

Brian : Yeah, but the hidden song is not so smiling either. (Laughs) "
