Brian Molko's voice is so characteristic that Carbon Kid sounds almost like a Placebo track. Aren't you afraid that this leads to confusion the people who will discover you with this track, not necessarily representative besides?

Glyn : Good music never causes confusion, just magic.
Richard: I think our fans and Placebo's especially appreciate this track. If every song that Brian sings sounds like Placebo, that's because nobody is able to sing like him.

What is the story behind this collaboration?
Glyn : Brian is also a very good chef, so we invited him to take part in one of our new recipes. But without warning, he sprayed our creation with one of his powders, the insolent! When we tasted the mixture, we have to move as never before, and our hearts began to beat faster and faster. What was this ingredient? He never confessed!

"Alpinestar: We weren't going to have any guest vocalists on the album at all, except that Brian had said a while ago when we did a remix of Placebo "if you ever want a vocalist just let me know". He was staying in the flat above where we were in the studio so we left a CD-R outside his room and at 4 o'clock the day before he was suposed to leave he ran down and was like I've learnt the lyrics, I wanna do it!!!"
